SOURDOUGH FRENCH TOAST

The perfect Sunday Brunch option for a plant based sweet tooth that is delicious, dense, and still healthy!


 

SOURDOUGH FRENCH TOAST

Serves 1


Ingredients:

2 slices of Sourdough

1 cup almond milk (any plant milk will work)

1/2 cup JustEgg

1 tsp Vanilla

1 tsp Cinnamon

1 tbsp Chia

Splash of Maple syrup


*If you do not have JustEgg you can substitute it with a flax egg by mixing 1 tbsp of ground flax with 3 tbsp of water and letting it sit for 5 min.


Directions:

Combine all ingredients (minus bread) in a shallow dish


Let bread soak in mixture for 10 min.


Cook till small bubbles start forming on top and bottom is golden brown


*For the berry compote combine frozen berries, a splash of maple, and 1 tablespoon of chia seeds in a small sauce pan until fully thawed and bubbling then let cool slightly in a bowl until thick!
